The April meeting will be held Thursday, April 19th at 6:30 PM. The location is Prescott Oil Company, 122 Airport Road in Concord, NH. Items to be discussed include the report of the nominating committee in preparation for the annual meting in May and planning for the summer events. Another Coach Returns to Concord
In August this year, the Society received word that there might be a coach available in Vermont. Two members journeyed to Waitsfield and met with Eric Haskin, Vice President of Waitsfield Telecom. They had a coach, #XXXVI, that was used by J. J. Kelty on the Mad River Stage line It was their original intention to create a Vermont Heritage Museum, but that never came to be and now they wished for the coach to have a new home. The coach is a six passenger “mail coach” that ran between Waitsfield and Middlesex, Vermont. After it was taken out of service, it was purchased by the Henry Ford museum and later by the Waitsfield Telecom.
